晴朗宁静的夜晚下，少年Age（冈本信彦配音）躺在铁丝网前的草地上，若有所思凝望深邃神秘的夜空。很久很久以前，他所处在的世界发生沧桑巨变，许多人不知为何飞向天空，不见回还。留在地面上的人建立起秩序井然、泯灭个性的理想国度艾尔格。人们相信飞走的人因为罪孽深重才受到神的处罚，因此“天空”成为他们心底的禁忌，决不允许有任何不切实际的幻想存在。突然，一个美丽女孩突然出现。她叫帕特玛（藤井雪代配音），是艾尔格人口中会受重力影响“跌落”苍穹的反转人。从地下世界偶然来到地面的帕特玛，在危急时刻得到Age的救助。对她来说，Age是会站在房顶上的蝙蝠人，两个分出上下颠倒世界的男孩女孩，就这样完成宿命的邂逅。与此同时，艾尔格的国王得到反转人真实存在的报告，于是命令手下的国家机器展开大肆搜捕，帕特玛的命运令人担忧…
